Cotton University Students Protest Against CUSU general secretary Abhisekh Mahanta

Guwahati: The protest by the students of Cotton University against CUSU general secretary Abhisekh Mahanta for joining the BJP continued for the second day today.

The students of the university alleged that Abhisekh Mahanta had collected funds in the form of donation to flood-affected people during the devastating floods in the Dima Hasao district in his personal account. They also alleged that Abhisekh bought a bike and refrained from giving details of the money collected for flood-affected people. They said that the CUSU did not distribute any flood relief as yet. They also demanded Abhisekh to quit the CUSU post immediately.
