GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (metro) district is seeing a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. In the last 10 days – from July 30 to August 8– the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the State were reported from Dibrugarh (317 cases), followed by 307 cases in the Kamrup (metro) district.

Assam reported 304 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. Of the total cases, the Kamrup (metro) district reported 37 cases, 34 cases were from Dibrugarh, 28 from Sivasagar and 22 each from Lakhimpur and Tinsukia. Currently, 3,881 cases are active in the State and the daily positivity rate is at 4.69 per cent.
