CPI & All India Trade Union Congress oppose privatization of PSUs

GUWAHATI: A joint protest was held by CPI (Communist Party of India) Assam State Council and AITUC (All India Trade Union Congress) Assam State Council on Wednesday to oppose the Centre's decision to privatize different public sector units of the country.

The protestors disapproved the Adani Group's takeover of the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport. Talking to the mediapersons, CPI member Ramen Das said, "We oppose the government's decision to privatize the railways, banks, life insurance companies etc. These are anti-public decisions and should be scrapped."
