Crime Branch of Guwahati Police busted call-routing racket

GUWAHATI: The Crime Branch Guwahati Police busted an illegal call-routing racket at Upasana Commercial Complex, Ulubari today.

The racket route illegal international VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) to a SIP server from Hyderabad to Guwahati and terminate it using a SIP Trunk number with 600 channels. This practice causes revenue loss to the Government.

The police detained one Aditya Kumar hailing from Samistipur in Bihar and currently staying in Guwahati, along with SIP Trunk (600 Channels), a SIP Server, Reliance JIo Broadband 150 Mbps connection and one computer. The police also registered a case in this connection.
