Crime Branch of Guwahati Police recovered gold biscuits from Lakhtokia region

GUWAHATI: The Crime Branch of Guwahati Police was able to confiscate a sizeable quantity of gold from the Lakhtokia region of the city on the afternoon of Friday. The team of police personnel also arrested three people in regard to the incident.

Acting on specific inputs, the Guwahati Crime Branch of the Assam Police carried out an operation that led to the capture of the suspected smugglers and the recovery of the gold. As per the information, the suspected smugglers had bought the gold biscuits to sell to a shop in the ABZ Complex in Lakhtokia. The market value of the seized gold biscuits has been mentioned as being about Rs 36 lakh. The Crime Branch continued its operations.
