Curious Case of Cereal Burglar: Assam Police Arrests Thief While Cooking Khichdi

Guwahati: The Assam police on Tuesday arrested a person who trespass into a house with a motive to steal valuable items, but started cooking Khichdi during the attempt.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the police confirmed the arrest and said that the burglar has been arrested and Guwahati Police is serving him some hot meals.

Despite its many health benefits, turns out, cooking Khichdi during a burglary attempt can be injurious to your well-being. The burglar has been arrested and Guwahati Police is serving him some hot meals,'' the tweet read further.

Notably, a few days ago, in Egypt, a burglar was arrested by the police while he fell asleep in a house where he went.

According to reports, the owner of the house informed the police that he had caught the thief sleeping in a bedroom.

As per the police investigations, he had sneaked into the house with the motive of burglarising it while its inhabitants were away and fell asleep.

After returning home, the family was surprised to find the stranger sleeping like a log in the bed.
