GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has intimated an action plan to all its departments for ensuring the success of the 'Har Ghar Triranga' campaign in the State, which entails celebrating Independent India's journey in the last 75 years by mass hoisting of the National Flag from August 13 to August 15.
A letter issued in this connection by the Secretary of the Personnel Department has directed the senior-most Secretaries of all State Government departments to instruct their employees, including those engaged on contractual/casual basis, to hoist the National Flag at their homes from August 13 to August 15. The letter also specified that all office buildings and establishments under various departments should hoist the National Flag and instructions should be issued in this regard.
The departmental officers have been further directed to appeal to all private civil society organizations working with the departments concerned to participate in the 'Har Ghar Triranga' campaign
Moreover, each department has been asked to reach out to the members of public they work with, along with the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes, to ensure that they heed the appeal to hoist the National Flag from August 13 to August 15 at their homes.
The letter in question directed that people should be requested to upload selfies on 'harghartiranga.com'. People should also be encouraged to pin flags on that website, the letter stated.
All departments were further instructed to carry information on Har Ghar Tiranga on their respective websites, carry out awareness campaigns through all social media pages by using the hashtag #harghartiranga, and use publicity material available on the Government of India's portal for generating awareness.
