DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta gives away medals on Assam Police Day

GUWAHATI: State DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta gave away gold and silver medals to 261 police officials on the Assam Police Day today for their outstanding performances in duty.

The recipients of the gold medals include SP Sushanta Biswa Sarma and ASP Purabi Mazumdar. SP Mohanlal Meena, ASP Ponjit Dowarah, DSP Rosy Talukdar, Inspector Leena Kumari Devi, SI Manujal Gogoi and ASI Mintu Barbara are among the 254 police officials who got silver medals.
