GUWAHATI: The Drama Section of Assam's Directorate of Cultural Affairs on Saturday staged a drama named 'Ka'la A'ina' (Black mirror) at the Kumar Bhaskar Natya Mandir in Uzan Bazar here in connection with the Golden Jubilee Year celebrations of the Directorate.

The drama was inaugurated by Abinash Sarma, Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee theatre director, Hemen Das, Principal Secretary of the Assam Legislative Assembly, Laya Madduri, Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department, Monidipa S Borkotoki, Additional Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department and Meenakshi Das Nath, Director of Cultural Affairs by lighting of ceremonial lamps.

The drama 'Ka'la A'ina' received huge applause from the spectators. It was written by Naren Patgiri and directed by Bhupal Pathak. The music was by Mondeep Mahanta. The drama fostered a positive message on patients with dementia symptoms.

According to a press release, the play was enacted by eminent and talented young theatre artistes of Assam - Tarun Kalita, Jolly Bhattacharjee, Ranjan Sarma, Ranjul Baruah, Umakanta Sonowal, Pranju Bania, Banalata Baisya, Aftab Ahmed, Snigdha Kangkan Taid and Jatin Medh.
