East Guwahati Police District Rescued 17 Cattle, One Arrested

A team from East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from Sonapur Police Station rescued 17 cattle that were to be smuggled into Meghalaya.

GUWAHATI: A team from East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from Sonapur Police Station rescued 17 cattle that were to be smuggled into Meghalaya. In this connection, the team intercepted one truck bearing registration AS 01 LC 2194 at Nazirakhat Tollgate.

The team arrested Md. Rofiquel Islam (40) of Samuguri.
