East Guwahati Police District seized cattle-laden truck, one arrested

An East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha PS intercepted a truck (AS01 KC 1728) at Basistha Chariali while it was trying to smuggle 32 live cattle to Meghalaya.

GUWAHATI: An East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha PS intercepted a truck (AS01 KC 1728) at Basistha Chariali while it was trying to smuggle 32 live cattle to Meghalaya. One Akib Ali (25) of Sonapur was arrested. Legal action has been initiated.
