GUWAHATI: Educational Volunteers' Association, Assam (EVAA) welcomed the announcement made by Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma regarding the appointment of various teachers.
EVAA president Shakh Abdullah said it was a long-standing demand of the body to conduct special TET for the Education Volunteers (EVs) of the Non-residential Special Training Centres (NRSTCs) and Jyoti Centres.
"Our demands have been met and Minister Sarma has assured us that a special TET will be conducted for the EVs. We have completed a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) under National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms," Abdullah added.
