F&CS Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury visits Goalpara, South Salmara in view of COVID-19

GUWAHATI: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury visited South Salmara & Mankachar and Goalpara districts on Wednesday and took stock of the situation there in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. He instructed the two deputy commissioners to see that the lockdown is total in their respective districts. The Minister also asked the two deputy commissioners to keep an adequate quantity of essential commodities in stocks. “Since corona positive cases have been detected in Assam, you need to keep the higher-ups informed as soon as anything coming to your notice,” the Minister said.
