Finance Minister Sarma inaugurates memorial of Prajbol Alaboi Rana

Amingaon (Assam): Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reached Amingaon to inaugurate the memorial of Prajbol alaboi rana.

The memorial is built by Mr. Parthasarathi Mahant Daria, SP, in memory of the Assamese soldiers belonging to different caste and creed, who put up a brave resistance against the Mughals on 5th August, 1669, said Sarma during the inaugural ceremony.

CM Sarbananda Sonowal, while addressing the crowd on Alaboi Memorial Day on 5th August, at Dadara Higher Secondary School at Kamrup, had said that the war memorial would be a tribute for us all to remember the lost brave souls in the battle with the Mughals which preceded the Saraighat battle led by Lachit Barphukan, where the Mughals were defeated.
