Fmr Assam Sahitya Sabha president Paramananda Rajbongshi joins AGP

Guwahati: The former president of Assam Sahitya Sabha, Paramananda Rajbongshi joined Asom Gana Parishad (AGP). Rajbongshi joined the party on Tuesday at the party headquarters in Ambari, Guwahati.

Along with Rajbongshi, other noted personalities also joined the party. The new members were welcomed by AGP president Atul Bora and AGP working president Keshab Mahanta.

Rajbongshi has earlier served as the General Secretary of the Assam Sahitya Sabha. He was later elected as the president in the year 2017.

Popular singer Kalpana Patowary recently joined the party too. During the joining, Atul Bora said that her contribution will play an important role in the cultural society. Patowary is an Indian playback and folk singer from Assam. She sings in 30 different languages and has many folk songs to her credit.
