Guwahati: Former Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi has been discharged from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
After 60-days of battling with coronavirus in the hospital, Gogoi has been discharged by GMCH on Sunday. Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the news via Twitter.
He wrote: "Former Chief Minister of Assam Sri Tarun Gogoi has been discharged from Guwahati Medical College today after 60 days of hospitalisation. His further treatment shall continue in his official residence under the supervision of the Doctors from medical college. My best wishes"
86-years-old Gogoi will continue his treatment at his official residence under the supervision of the doctors from GMCH. Sarma extended his best wishes to the former CM.
Gogoi was admitted to GMCH on August 25 after testing COVID positive. He has served three terms as the Chief Minister of the state.
