Gauhati HC restrains Gaurav Gogoi from making statements on subsidy issue

GUWAHATI: The Court of Civil Judge No. 1, Kamrup (M), Guwahati, today granted an ad-interim temporary injunction against MP Gaurav Gogoi, restraining him from making any statement, uploading, circulating, and disseminating any news in furtherance of the statements made by him against Pride East Entertainments Private Ltd. on the issue of 'receiving Rs 10 crore' grants-in-aid or subsidies from the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, the Government of India, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana, till his appearance in this court on the next day of hearing.

In a petition filed today, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, Chairperson-cum-Managing Director of Pride East Entertainments Private Ltd., prayed the Court to pass an order of ad-interim temporary injunction against MP Gaurav Gogoi by restraining him from making any statements in furtherance of the statement made in X on September 12, 2023, from his user account @GauravGogoiAsm. The court will hear the petition on November 9, 2023.
