Gauhati University and ASACS to organized Red Run Mini Marathon in city

 GUWAHATI: A mini-marathon, 'Red Run 5 km', will be organised by Gauhati University (GU) and the Assam State AIDS Control Society on September 22 to create awareness about HIV/AIDS among the student community and society. Each institute or college under Gauhati University may send two students, both boys and girls. Prize money of Rs. 100,000, Rs. 7,000, and Rs. 5,000 will be given to the best three winners in both categories. Five best winners will be selected for the state-level marathon to be organised by the Assam State AIDS Control Society centrally at Guwahati. The heads of the institutions under Gauhati University are requested to send participants in the mini marathon, and information regarding participation may be sent to the Director, Students' Welfare, Gauhati University, at the email address dsw@gauhati.ac.in. The participants will report at the DSW office, GU, stated a press release.
