GD Birla memorial lecture organized at IIT Guwahati

GUWAHATI: "Personal qualities and not the position is what makes a leader effective," said Prof NachiketaTripathi from IIT, Guwahati in GD Birla Memorial Lecture. He was speaking on the topic Leadership for Success: Some inspiring anecdotes from the industry. In the memory of its founder, UCO Bank has been organizing this lecture as an annual event. In this programme speakers are invited to speak on their favourite topic from banking, management and economics. Prof RM Pant, Director, NIRD & PR, North Eastern Regional Centre delivered the key note address. In his lecture, Prof Pant took leaves from the life of various leaders whose vision, commitment and dedication to the purpose greatly contributed to the prosperity of human life.

Welcoming the guests and gathering, Director NERIM Group of Institutions Prof Sangeeta Tripathi thanked UCO Bank, Zonal Office for giving NERIM an opportunity to collaborate. ShriBadriYadav, Head of the Officer RIO, Official Language Department, GoI and Dr. SushilChaudhury, Director, Meghalaya RashtrabhashaPracharSamiti also expressed their views, a press release said.
