GMC Mayor Mrigen Sarania inspects work on Bharalu and Mora Bharalu

GUWAHATI: The Mayor of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Mrigen Sarania, inspected the progress related to the cleaning of the waterways of the city ahead of the monsoons. He was accompanied by the Chief Engineer (in charge) of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Dipankar Kakati, Additional Engineer Nabajyoti Bordoloi, Executive Engineer of Zone 3 Sunit Das, Executive Engineer of Zone 6 Pankaj Choudhury, and several other officials.

The team inspected the developments related to the cleaning of the Bharalu as well as the Mora Bharalu rivers in Guwahati city in order to prevent the problems of urban flooding in the monsoons. The mayor ordered the contractors to complete all the necessary work at once and mentioned that all action has been taken by the authorities to prevent water logging this year.
