GMC water supply under Guwahati Jal Board to discontinue

GUWAHATI: The water supply of GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) under Guwahati Jal Board will discontinue from March 31. Therefore, the consumers are asked to opt for a new water connection from the Guwahati Jal Board at the earliest.

The water supply schemes of GMC are very old. The present output of the schemes has been greatly reduced, and frequent breakdowns hamper the piped water supply.
