Gold worth Rs 58 lakh seized, two persons arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Two persons have been arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) on accused of smuggling 1 kg of gold at Guwahati Railway Station. They have been identified as Md. Hafij Yasin and Md. Aslam Sheikh from Manipur. According to GRP sources, they both travelled the Tejas Express, and the gold they recovered was in their pockets. The items are estimated to be worth 58 lakh rupees in total.
