GRP arrests accused with 935 g of gold at Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested a person at Guwahati Railway Station with 935 g of gold from his possession on Friday. The accused is identified as Hira Ram, hailing from Rajasthan. According to sources, the accused used a different tactic for his smuggling when he was about to board the train with the gold. The GRP caught him at the entrance of the railway station. The seized gold is worth approximately Rs 50 lakh in the market.
