Guwahati: 2 cars collide head on; 3 injured

GUWAHATI: A road mishap was reported on NH-17 near Rani Gate on Sunday. Two cars collided head-on under Azara Police Station.

According to sources, the two cars in the mishap was Toyota bearing registration AS 01 BB 4312 and Hyundai Eon bearing registration AS DU 3335. The Toyota was heading towards Guwahati, while on the other hand, the Eon was moving from Guwahati to Mirza.

Behind the Hyundai Eon, there was another car bearing registration AS 01 FB 7172, which rammed it from behind.

The accident resulted in the injuries of the driver and passenger of the Eon, Joydeep Nath (34) and Sanjeev Nath (35) both from Matiya Goalpara district respectively. Also, the driver of the Toyota Kushal Boro (43) from Boko was injured.

The traffic branch of Azara Police reached the site and admitted the injured to the Azara hospital.
