Guwahati: ‘Diwali mela’ organized at BSF Campus Patgaon

GUWAHATI: On the eve of Deepawali festival, a ‘Diwali Mela’ was organized at BSF Campus Patgaon (Guwahati) on Saturday that was inaugurated by Rajeev Sinha, DIG/PSO BSF Guwahati Frontier in Patgaon, Azara. A variety of food and sweets stalls, cultural programmes, and fun games were the attractions of the Mela. The Mela eventually culminated with the best wishes extended by the DIG/PSO BSF Guwahati Frontier to the troops and their families, besides a civil gathering, and wishing happiness and prosperity for their future endeavors. He also conveyed his “Deepawali” wishes to those BSF Jawans who are performing their duties diligently round the clock on the farthest frontiers of the nation at the International Border, stated a press release.
