Guwahati: Female Prisoner Escapes From Police Custody

Guwahati: A female allegedly escaped from Dispur Police custody on Friday.

The woman, identified as Makon Kakati, escaped custody when the police were taking her to the hospital for medical examination. The police arrested Kakati from the Six Mile area in the city.

Recently, a prisoner serving a life sentence in a murder case escaped from Meghalaya's Jowai District Jail. The prisoner is Shiningstar Pala, a convict in a murder case.

The convict had fled the jail in May 2017, but the police nabbed her.
