GUWAHATI: The RPF (Railway Protection Force), along with the GRP (Government Railway Police), conducted a drive against contraband drugs and seized 30 kg of ganja in four packets in an unclaimed bag pack and a trolley bag at Kamakhya Railway Station on Tuesday.
According to the sources, on checking, they found a bag pack and a trolley bag, which were kept under the Guwahati-end platform number 4. They decided to check those bags and found a total of four packets wrapped in plastic, suspected to be Ganja. After estimating the weight, they seized 30 kg of ganja: 20 kg inside the trolley and 10 kg in the back pack. The seized item is worth Rs 3 lakh. The items are handed over to the GRP for legal action.
