Guwahati: GMC Officials Raid 'Unique Hair & Spa' at Dona Planet

GUWAHATI: The Health and Enforcement Branches of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) conducted a raid and sealed a business firm named as "M/S Unique Hair & Spa" for violation of terms & conditions for obtaining the online instant trade licence.

Initially, a notice was issued and served by GMC to Unisex Spa and Salon for violations including running the business without a trade license, upon which, the said trade obtained an online instant trade license by submitting invalid documents.

Hence by another notice, GMC directed the trade to submit valid documents, however, M/s Unique Hair & Spa failed to respond.

As, the declaration while obtaining online trade licence states that furnishing wrong information and false declaration will lead to cancellation of the trade licence and M/s Unique Hair & Spa explicitly agreed to the same, the trade licence of the firm was cancelled and under section 404(3) of the Guwahati Municipal Act, 1969, the business firm is sealed today on 29th April 2022.

Earlier, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) penalized a unisex salon in Guwahati city for the unethical activity inside the salon on February 15.

Moreover, the salon was operating without a trade license for which a penalty of two lakh was imposed.
