Guwahati Jal Board receives SKOCH Award

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board, commonly known as the Guwahati Jal Board, has been conferred with the prestigious SKOCH Award.

The award was conferred upon the Guwahati Jal Board for its e-governance/IT initiative “GIS Integrated Portal for Consumer Management,” which was selected from a panel of entries through presentations and expert committee evaluation on behalf of the SKOCH Award 2023. The award was received by Smti. Panchami Choudhury, Secretary of Guwahati Jal Board, and Anurag Rudra, Officer on Special Duty, Guwahati Jal Board, on behalf of the board in an award ceremony held in Delhi. The IT/e-governance push from the Guwahati Jal Board is designed to make the end consumer experience paperless and completely digitized.
