GUWAHATI: On the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmastami, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) started working on several new projects in the city. Some of the new projects that were started on the day included a new auditorium in the premises of the Navagraha Chandangiri Lakshminarayan Temple in Ward Number 33, an auditorium in the Rupnagar Nizarababa Sri Sri Ganesh Temple in Ward Number 27, and another one in the Udaipur Kali Mandir in Ward Number 29.

Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Saraniya organised Bhoomi Poojans to mark the beginning of the first level of work on the construction of a total of 35 new projects in 35 wards of the corporation. Apart from the mayor, several other dignitaries and local citizens also took part in the event.
