Guwahati Municipal Corporation conducts cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

GUWAHATI: The GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) organized a cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in collaboration with Kamakhya Devalaya Management Committee and NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) around the periphery of the historic Nilachal Hill. The cleanliness drive was inaugurated in the presence of GMC officials including the Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioners I & II, Chief Engineer, Engineers and other staff.

One Inspector along with 25 personnel from NDRF as well as the officials of the Kamakhya Devalaya Management Committee also attended the inaugural meeting and joined the cleanliness drive.

The drive covered several locations of Nilachal Hill including the premises of Kamakhya Temple and the greater area of the Bhubaneswari Temple, etc.
