Guwahati Municipal Corporation dismantles 190 poultry shops, vegetable vendors

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) along with the assistance of the Bhangagarh Police carried out an eviction drive for the sixth consecutive day on Friday.

The Veterinary Branch evicted 170 poultry shops, vegetable vendors etc. and imposed a total fine of Rs. 9,500 from Bhangagarh, Christian Basti, Ganeshguri, Sixmile, and Khanapara.

The Health Branch evicted 20 fast food and restaurants and imposed a fine of Rs. 11,000 from GMCH Road and Sixmile.

The Hoarding Branch dismantled 200 temporary Kiosks from Rajdhani Masjid to Lalmati via Hatigaon and Bhetapara.
