Guwahati Municipal Corporation plans to solve drinking water problems

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has announced that it will take steps towards solving the drinking water problem in each of the wards falling under the urban local body. As a part of this initiative, the mayor, Mrigen Saraniya, laid the cornerstone for a deep bore for supplying drinking water to the residents of Ward 18 of GMC on Monday. The event was attended by several other dignitaries and officials of the organisation, including deputy mayor Smita Roy.
