Guwahati Municipal Corporation plants 100 saplings

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has been continuously implementing the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on every celebration of Independence Day.

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has been continuously implementing the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on every celebration of Independence Day. A cleanliness drive was conducted on Sunday by the Guwahati Mayor, GMC joint commissioner and other officials. Along with cleaning the various parts of the city, and as a part of Meri Maati Mera Desh initiative, the GMC officials planted 100 saplings under the Basudha Bandhan programme on the municipal land at Chabipul, Chhatribari with the NCC cadets.
