Guwahati Police Caught ULFA Rebel from Kamakhya Station

GUWAHATI: In the ensuing festive environment that has gripped the State, the detention of an ULFA has caused panic in the city. Diganta Axom alias Diganta Chetia alias Mithu Chetia was caught from Kamakhya station by Guwahati police and Crime Branch on Tuesday. According to police sources, Diganta joined ULFA in 2018 but came out a year later. However, he did not surrender. The accused was in Kerala and was returning home when he was detained by police authorities.
