Guwahati Police team lands in Bihar over city trader's murder

GUWAHATI: A team of the Guwahati Police has gone to Samastipur in Bihar in pursuit of W Yadav, who is suspected of having masterminded the murder of city-based businessman Avdesh Kumar Yadav on Monday.

According to police sources, a money-related family dispute is suspected to be the motive behind the killing.

They said that while two of Avdesh Yadav's brothers had been killed earlier in Bihar, the third brother is in jail for having killed a member of W Yadav's family. Meanwhile, one person, identified as Khadim Ali, has been picked up from Besimari in Darrang district by the Paltanbazar police in connection with the Pulsar bike that was abandoned at the shooting site by the killers
