GUWAHATI: At a time when over 22 lakh people of 28 districts of Assam are being affected by the current flood situation in the State and are struggling hard for basic facilities like shelter, food and health care, Guwahati Refinery handed over relief items for the flood-affected people of Kamrup (rural) district on Monday.

The relief materials comprising of food items, including baby food, mineral water, sanitary napkins and other necessary items were handed over to Kamrup (rural) Deputy Commissioner Kailash Karthik N, at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup in Amingaon by Manoj Patir, Deputy General Manager (Employee Services). The Deputy Commissioner thanked Guwahati Refinery for the timely assistance provided to the district.
