GUWAHATI: In the recently held Common Yoga Protocol by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas as a countdown to International Day of Yoga, IOC employees posted at the Guwahati Refinery took active part in the event through video conferencing, stated a press release.
A number of IOCians posted at the Refinery assembled at the Jubilee Hall in sector 3 township and took active part in the Yoga session, which lasted for around half-an-hour.
The Yoga session began with a message of Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs, followed by an address by Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Labour and Employment.
The Yoga session was attended by CMDs of organizations falling under administrative control of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas along with the Delhi-based Board of Directors. Guwahati Refinery took part in the programme along with many other selected IOC locations including Refineries, Marketing, Pipelines, Business Development and Sri Lanka IOC. In the Yoga session, different Yoga asanas were demonstrated by a Yoga instructor along with sharing of health benefits of the varied asanas. The Yoga session was attended by SP Singh, Executive Director & Refinery Head, along with the senior officials of Guwahati Refinery.
