Guwahati: A seven-day-long workshop in blended mode 'Research Methodology for Social Sciences' took place from July 1-7, 2022, at Cotton University. The Department of Economics of ICSSR-NERC, Shillong, organized the workshop.

Research scholars from Cotton University, Gauhati University, Dibrugarh University, Tripura University, Rajiv Gandhi Central University, Assam Don Bosco University, Tezpur University, Patna University, Patliputra University, IIT, Kanpur, IIT, Guwahati and KK Handique State Open University participated in the programme. Academic Registrar of Cotton University Dr Sanjay Kumar Dutta inaugurated the workshop in the presence of Prof B Panda, Director (Honorary), ICSSR-NERC.

Prof Hiranya Kumar Nath of Sam Houston State University, USA, Prof Rajarshi Majumdar of the University of Burdwan, Prof Dibyajyoti Bhattacharjee, Department of Statistics, Assam University, Silchar, Prof Mrinal Kanti Dutta, Prof S Mallick & Prof D Das of IIT Guwahati, Prof Madhurjya Prasad Bezbaruah and Prof Ratul Mahanta of the Department of Economics, Gauhati University, Prof. Sanjay Singh of the Department of Library and Information Sciences, Gauhati University, Dr Binoy Goswami of the Department of Economics, South Asian University, New Delhi and Dr Daisy Das, Associate Professor of Economics, Cotton University were the resource persons of the workshop. Sixty-four research scholars participated in the workshop, the valedictory programme of which was on July 7, a press release said.
