Guwahati: Speeding Car Turns Turtle In Kahilipara Area

Guwahati: A speeding car turned turtle after hitting the gate of the 10th battalion of the Assam Police in Kahilipara here on Monday.

The incident occurred after the driver of the Hyundai i20 car bearing registration number AS 01 EM 0848 lost control and rammed into the gate of the 10th battalion of the Assam Police city's Kahilipara area.

As per reports, the car was coming from the direction of Gauhati Medical College (GMCH) and was heading towards Kahilipara.

Following the incident, the driver of the car received minor injuries.

In April this year, a similar incident took place atop the Ganneshguri flyover, where the car also turned turtle at around 11:30 PM when the car was heading towards Mangaldoi.

The driver was in an inebriated state, however, the passers helped him, and was sent to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.
