Guwahati: Teenage Girl Commits Suicide after Boyfriend Posted Private Photos on Social Media

GUWAHATI: According to reports, a teenage girl in Guwahati committed suicide because her boyfriend is accused of posting her personal images and videos on social media. The incident happened in near Gandhi Mandap, Guwahati. Police responded to the situation and detained Amit Medhi in connection with the incident. It has come to light that Amit and the victim had a romantic relationship. On July 3, while conducting an investigation, the police discovered a suicide note in the victim's bedroom. The child apologised to her parents in her letter by writing, "Sorry Ma, Sorry Papa, Sorry Babu, and Sorry Didi."

The police have since taken possession of the accused's recovered cell phone. Furthermore, an autopsy has been requested for the victim's body. A case investigation is now being conducted.

On the other hand, a 29-year-old man has allegedly been reported missing from Kalibari in Guwahati's Basistha for the previous four days. The missing teenager, known as Pranav Das, reportedly left his home three days ago in the evening and left a note.

Pranav reportedly held a position as an accountant at a steel company. Pranav's sister stated to the media that he had been struggling with depression issues for a few days but had never opened out to the family about his problems. His family immediately went to the Basistha police to ask for help because they were distressed by the circumstance.

The family claims that the police did not treat the situation seriously, though. The family has issued a call for assistance and asked that anyone who discovers Pranav Das get in touch with them at 6000643787.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, a 62-year-old man went missing from the Guwahati Railway Station. Mahesh Kalita, the missing individual is from Rangia in Kamrup Rural district.

The man was reported missing after getting off a train at the Guwahati Railway Station destined for Howrah on Sunday morning. Kalita was riding the Kamrup Express train from the Sivasagar district. He exited the train in Guwahati and has been missing ever since.
