Guwahati: Vishwakarma Puja on Sept 18

GUWAHATI: People are all ready to celebrate Vishwakarma Puja on September 18, with the markets all decked up with Vishwakarma idols, decorations, and other essentials. The Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated to honour Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect. This festival is observed in industrial places and garages among artisans, craftsmen, mechanics, and others.

According to a priest, "This time the dates for the Puja have changed, as it falls on Monday, i.e., September 18, as it is usually celebrated on September 17 every year."
