Guwahati Woman Crashes Car Into Divider in Broad Day Light, Locals Claims Drunk Driving

GUWAHATI: A woman was injured in a road accident in Guwahati's Rajgarh area in the morning hours of May 10.

As per reports, the incident took place near Rajgarh by lane 4 when a passenger vehicle bearing registration number 'AS 01 BZ0675' collided with a road divider at high speed.

Notably, the driver of the car, a woman, was critically injured and was later admitted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, locals alleged that a liquor bottle was found inside the woman's car, indicating that she was intoxicated when the accident took place.

Earlier this month a dumper truck banged into the main gate of Assam Sarba Siksha Abhiyan's office as a result of which its wall got mutilated in the Kahilipara area in Guwahati on the morning of May 4.

According to reports, the incident unfolded when the dumper truck driver failed to control the vehicle as the brake pedal came off. The impact was devastating so much so that the front wall of the office was completely shattered.

The registration number of the dumper truck is AS15AC 3305 and the lunatic driver managed to vanish from the spot.

It is to be noted that no casualties have been reported from the incident so far.
