Guwahati: Woman’s Body Found Inside Trunk at Lalung Gaon

GUWAHATI: A woman’s body was found in a trunk at Lalung Gaon, under Garchuk police station. According to sources, the family of the deceased was staying in a rented house. The police identified the body as that of Basanti Baishya but have not confirmed it, as no documents were submitted to the house owner. Raju Baishya, identified as her husband, and their 10- or 12-year-old son remained untraced. The police suspect this to be murder. The forensic team visited the spot and examined the whole scene. The Garchuk police have started an investigation.
