Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship Guwahati receives award of excellence

GUWAHATI: Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati an organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, received the "Award of Excellence" for its exemplary work in the area of skill and entrepreneurship development in North Eastern Region (NER). The Governor of Assam, Professor Jagdish Mukhi presented the award at the Diamond Jubilee Celebration function of the All India Manufacturers Organization (Assam and NER) and Assam Productivity Council held at Tinsukia on February 4. Dr Lalit Sharma, Director received the award on behalf of IIE, stated a press release.

While receiving the award Dr Lalit Sharma, Director IIE said "IIE is committed to strengthening the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem. The institution will make sure that enterprise creation, skill development and start-up development in the region happens at a fast pace and the enterprises of northeast contribute significantly to employment generation and economic development of the region".
