Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati student commits suicide

GUWAHATI: A B Tech student of the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G), one Gudla Mahesh Sai Raj of Andhra Pradesh, committed suicide in his hostel room.

According to sources, the deceased was not seen by fellow-students since Saturday. Later, his body was recovered hanging in his room at the Lohit Hostel on Sunday.

The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
