GUWAHATI: The State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party said on Tuesday that results of the elections to the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council have brought to the fore once again that every ethnic community has deep faith and confidence in, and unstinted support for, the BJP and its allies. Party spokespersons Pabitra Margherita and Kalyan Gogoi told the media that the results have also exemplified once again that the indigenous communities of the State have outright rejected the divisive politics of the Congress party, Asom Jatiya Parishad and Raijor Dal to create misunderstanding in the society through misleading and false insinuations.

Margherita and Gogoi stated that the landslide victory of the BJP and its allies in the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council elections has once again made it crystal clear that the Congress party and the so-called regional parties have no existence whatsoever in the indigenous society. They pointed out that even the people of Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council have rejected the Congress in Titabor, the home constituency of former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and sitting Congress MLA Bhaskar Jyoti Baruah.
