Inland Water Transport employee drowns in Brahmaputra

GUWAHATI: An employee of the Inland Water Transport (IWT) department drowned to death in the Brahmaputra in North Guwahati on Tuesday. The deceased IWT employee has been identified as Dhanjit Ignti. He hailed from Garchuk. It is suspected that Ignti fell into the Brahmaputra as he tried to jump from one boat to another and one of the boats was about to dock.
