GUWAHATI: A delegation of the Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha, Assam (ITSSA) led by its president Gubindo Taid met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today and raised the demand for the release of the promised corpus fund for the sabitya sabhas and giving away the Bhasha Gaurav Sanman.

ITSSA secretary general Kamala Kanta Mushahary said, "We're yet to get the corpus fund as promised by the government. The terms and conditions of the Bhasha Gaurav Sanman have not been fixed as decided at a meeting of different sahitya sabhas with the Chief Minister. "The criteria fixed don't allow many of the sahitya sabhas to get writers fulfilling the conditions." The Chief Minister assured the team of releasing the amount for corpus fund soon.
