Jal Board of Guwahati announces flushing of water pipes

GUWAHATI: The Jal Board of Guwahati has announced that they will be carrying out an operation to clean the water pipelines in several parts of the city and that the supply of water may be affected in the localities of Guwahati.

They also gave a list of locations where this flushing operation will be carried out. They are Gandhi Basti, Ishlampur, Lachit Nagar, South Sarania and Nehru Stadium area. Parts of Bora Service and Bhangagarh are also expected to be affected by this drive.

"We seek to inform the residents of some local areas where Jal Board will carry out flushing activities through pipelines today onwards. So water may gush out in some localities. We request the public not to panic and cooperate with us. Our dedicated team is on the field to serve you in case of any emergency," mentioned a statement from the Jal Board.
